Let’s face it: The NFT space moves really fast. Considering how quickly things can change in the metaverse, a week in NFTs might as well be a month IRL.

Don’t get us wrong — the more people onboarded into the space, the merrier. But because of the constant influx of great art and ideas, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with all the news, launches, and general happenings.

Well, you can put the days of endless Twitter and Discord scrolling behind you, as we’ll be coming up with a weekly list of upcoming NFT drops you definitely don’t want to miss.

Pixelmon — Generation 1

Who: Pixelmon Team

Why: Generation 1 is the debut NFT collection from the new NFT game Pixelmon. The project is set to be a virtual metaverse where users can play with friends, battle and train Pixelmon, trade items, customize virtual characters, and more. Learn more about the project’s dutch auction launch here.

Why: Cleon Peterson is an LA-based artist whose chaotic and violent paintings depict a struggle between power and submission in the fluctuating architecture of contemporary society.⁠ With this, his second NFT collection, Peterson explores man’s unquenchable thirst for power and destruction.

Mortal Goddess

Who: Necrofearfx

Why: Necrofearfx is a self-taught 3D multidisciplinary digital artist based in Albania. With “Mortal Goddess,” Necrofearfx explores themes of power and control, as well as resilience and strength, through the lens of women living in the Medieval era.

Ephemeral Life

Why: Known for his vibrant murals, sculptures, and immersive installations, Madrid-based artist Okuda is returning to Nifty Gateway for his third drop on the curated platform. Featuring seven new original pieces, Okuda says “Ephemeral Life” touches on topics such as power, influence, love, and liberty.


Who: Vakseen

Where: MakersPlace

Why: Vakseen is the creative moniker of Otha Davis III — a self-taught, museum-exhibited artist and a multi-platinum music executive, producer, and songwriter. Known for his Vanity Pop, collage-influenced paintings, Vakseen now presents “G.O.A.T.,” a collection of digital portraits that celebrate excellence, creativity, and inspiration


Who: Andrea Bonaceto

What: Collectors only drop

When: Feb. 9 @ 6:30 p.m. ET

Where: Nifty Gateway

Why: Andrea Bonaceto is a visual artist based between London and Italy who, in 2021, received the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts. With his latest collection on Nifty Gateway, Bonaceto hopes to move on to the next chapter in his NFT career by closing the “circle” he started with the launch of his first nonfungible endeavor.

Signature Sneaker Generative

Who: Dan Freebairn

What: 777 NFT collectibles

Why: Signature Sneakers Generative is a new, large-scale NFT collection from footwear industry veteran Dan Freebairn. Following his successful Signature Sneakers Genesis from September, the multitalented Freebairn has upped the ante with a 777 piece collection that will exponentially expand his collector base.

Heal The Deal Stage 3 — Settling In

Why: Maalavidaa is the creative moniker of Alycia Rainaud — a French Graphic Designer and Digital Artist based in Montreal who focuses on putting together visual experiments, print design, and emotions. With “Settling In,” the third installment of her Heal The Deal series, Rainaud depicts a desire and need for belonging and shelter.

Queens & Kings

Who: Hackatao

What: 6,900 avatar collectibles

When: Feb. 13 @ Time TBA


Why: Hackatao is the moniker of married artist duo Nadia Squarc and Sergio Scalet. Having become one of the most coveted names in digital art and NFTs, Hackatao now presents their first large-scale PFP collection with “Queens & Kings.” The collection pre-mint begins on Feb. 10, with the public sale set to go live on Feb. 13.


Who: Betty & Psych

What: 13,000 avatar collectibles

When: Feb. 13 @ Time TBA


Why: Deadfrenz is the companion series from the popular PFP project Deadfellaz. The forthcoming collection will be claimable for current Deadfellaz holders, with a limited supply reserved for public sale.
