Sports NFT Ticketing – Prime Examples
NFT ticketing is not uncharted territory, as demonstrated by The National Football League (NFL), which first distributed NFT tickets in 2021 and has continued using them ever since. Moreover, World Rugby has shown curiosity in the Web3 world, experimenting with NFT ticketing in December 2021 and creating plans to implement such tickets into this year’s Rugby World Cup, set to take place in France this Autumn.
Sports Illustrated is another example of firms playing around with the potential of NFT ticketing, debuting its own platform, ‘Box Office’, this month. Collaborating with ConsenSys and powered by Polygon, Box Office supplies a comprehensive self-service ticketing system and management platform.
