A-list actor Kevin Hart is diving into the metaverse through the launch of an NFT collection based on an upcoming cinematic production based on his life. The production, titled Confessions From the Hart, is a 30-minute, 3D animated anthology which takes viewers on Hart’s star-studded journey of ups and downs within the comedy and film industries, and will premiere exclusively on the Roku channel on July 6th.
On the day following the premiere (i.e. July 7th), Hart’s own media company Hartbeat will launch a namesake collection of 10,000 NFTs, with each featuring a 3D, PFP style image of an eccentric Kevin Hart alter-ego. The NFTs will drop on Hart’s metaverse-centric website Kevin Hart Nation, with each costing $65 to mint.
In addition to their unique artistic and creative 3D renderings, the NFTs will offer holders with exclusive access to content based around the anthology, which can be viewed through the Kevin Hart Nation Metaverse Screening Room, a Web3 space that’s been developed in partnership with Web3 platform Moonwalk and virtual entertainment company Virtua.
Other perks of ownership include access to an exclusive Discord channel, as well as exclusive member benefits for IRL and metaverse experiences from the Kevin Hart Nation, such as extra content and tickets to Hart’s upcoming comedy tour.
In speaking on the endeavour, which is reported to be the first of many metaverse activations from Hartbeart Media, Hart had this to say: “My favorite thing to do is make people laugh, and with Hartbeat’s expansion into the metaverse and Web3 we will have exponential opportunities to bring humor and comedy to a whole new audience. I am so proud of my team for their forward thinking and ingenuity. With this new technology we will be able to continue expanding our footprint into the new technological frontiers of content creation”.
