NFT REVIEW NEWS DC Readies Weekly Drop of Affordable NFT Comic Books

Long time purveyor of action-packed graphic novels, DC Comics, has announced its latest NFT initiative – new ‘digital collectible’ comic book each week featuring its greatest heroes.

Through the incredible enterprise, DC will delve into its vaults to re-release some of its finest ever tales. Therein, catering to all kinds of fans with a two pronged ‘Legacy’ and ‘Modern’ approach and providing the latest stories for the casual reader, while also adding a touch of nostalgia for the serious collector.

The first NFTs will hit the market on October 27, featuring the highly coveted Superman #1 graphic novel, arriving in a limited run of 3,000 editions, for the incredibly reasonable price of $9.99. In addition, those making a purchase will randomly receive one of 5 degrees of rarity, with ‘Legacy’ collection scarcity represented by digital wear and tear, and ‘Modern’ comics featuring alternative covers.

Through the initiative, DC aims to replicate the collectability of its physical comic books and mimick their counterparts that exist within the physical world. Most importantly however, the company has shied away from using technical terminology, and set a price that will appeal to the casual collector.
