Hotly anticipated Blowfish Studios triple A shoot-em-up, Phantom Galaxies, has reached a major landmark in its development. It has announced the launch of its pivotal $ASTRAFER governance and utility token on the Quickswap exchange.
This long-awaited $ASTRAFER token will form the backbone of the Phantom Galaxies economy, paving the way for a whole world of play-to-earn goodness and competitive gameplay, all in addition to enabling players to trade and mint NFTs within the game. The first set will soon arrive in the shape of the “Thermopylae” Poster 3 NFT, which users can then redeem for incredible in-game items.
Phantom Galaxies marks the first major blockchain game from Bolwfish Studios since its acquisition by industry heavyweight, Animoca brands, representing a major shift for the company as Animoca looks to infiltrate the console market. It will further build an elegant and beautiful mech-fighting simulation that incorporates NFTs and a blockchain-powered economy.
The game itself has moved on in leaps and bounds over recent months, now sitting pretty in its public alpha phase. Next up however, fans can brace themselves for their first earning opportunities in the shape of the “Astrafite Rush” event, slated to arrive later in July.
