Crypto Sport Gaming News Crypto Sport Gaming News Square Enix CEO Sees The Future in Play To Earn – eGamers.io

Yosuke Matsuda, CEO of Square Enix, plans to dive into play-to-earn games despite backlash from the community. He thinks that traditional games have no future, and for Square Enix to grow, play-to-earn mechanics is the way to go.

Many of the gaming projects have announced to set foot into Blockchain gaming, and most of them have been successful. However, some of these projects have received a massive backlash from the community and dumped the idea of play-to-earn game mechanics.

On the other hand, Square Enix is still eager to bring play-to-earn mechanics into their future projects.

President Yosuke added the company currently develops a game, completes it, and releases the game to the public. The players play the end product of the game.

“There are many players in the world who want to contribute to making games more interesting by creating new settings and ways of playing,” Yokuse added.

Square Enix will now drop the traditional approach and call upon creators to play and build the incomplete versions of their future games, suggest any room for improvement, and use interesting new ideas.

Square Enix will provide exclusive benefits and incentives to early-stage contributors. The whole purpose behind user and creators’ contributions is to implement interesting user ideas into their future titles.

Before mentioning “Autonomous Game Content”, the President teased play-to-contribute mechanics when he talked about how many people are interested in play-to-contribute mechanics. Both these mechanics can only be built on blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.

Last week, the company announced Kingdom Hearts 4, which has been their point of attention for some time now. They haven’t revealed any release date, only that the company is focusing entirely on making this title, as they said, “Magic in the Making.”

The President hasn’t released more about play-to-earn or play-to-contribute projects.
