This first dip into the Metaverse for the British Museum comes courtesy of its licensing partner, the Web3 curation platform, La Collection. A high-tech digital agency designed to help some of the world’s biggest institutions bridge into the immersive domain of blockchain technology.
For almost 300 years, the British Museum has showcased the finest treasures from around the globe. These include, the Rosetta Stone, the Elgin Marbles, the Bust of Ramses the Great, cat mummies, and an Aztec double headed serpent. Now, thanks to this epic new collaboration, many of its items will be on display in The Sandbox for history buffs to engage with like never before!
