Shifting gears into the world of automotive art and Web3, the digital art collective Fingerprints DAO joins forces with Dutch artist Harm van den Dorpel and German car giant, Mercedes Benz, to debut a collection of innovative, car-driven, NFTs starting June 7.
Steering the world-renowned car maker into Web3, ‘Mercedes-Benz NXT‘, will present 1,000 ‘Maschine’ NFTs that create a spin on traditional automotive imagery, and embodies the continuous motion of a fast-moving wheel that revs into immersive virtual experiences.

Turbocharging a Triad of NFT Initiatives
Supervised, crafted and strategized by the Mercedes Benz creative studio 0xNXT, Mercedes-Benz NXT has revealed its intentions to introduce three significant NFT collections into its growing Web3 ecosystem: core collections, satellite projects, and peripheral projects.
Core collections represent digital components and artifacts of an integrated narrative: intertwined projects continuously evolving and expanding from one another’s foundations. These collectibles will create an ongoing story, belonging to something “built to last”, with candid communication being the core principle of its strategy.
On the flip side, satellite projects are standalone initiatives that perform on a much smaller scale. These concepts present a platform for spotlighting creativity, emphasizing experimental freedom and enjoyment that can flourish freely regardless of long-term plans or strategies.
Last but not least, peripheral projects consist of third-party initiatives that tap into Mercedes Benz’s trademarks for official licensing or fair use. These digital assets are disseminated and crafted by the car manufacturer, but communication and support remain necessary.
Although only scarce details about these upcoming projects are revealed, it’s clear that Mercedes-Benz NXT represents a long-term commitment to establishing a devoted presence within the Web3 world, bringing memorabilia of its cars into the digital space to expand the brand’s products and offerings.
